Why these albums all look alike
In a society, families see each other’s birthday albums, and after a few of them the resemblance becomes obvious.
It is nobody’s fault. The hall has one good wall, the decorator works the way they always work, and the photographer shoots the setup from the front because that is where it is designed to be seen from. Repeat across a year of parties and every album matches.
Breaking it takes very little. Shooting the decor from inside rather than square on. Working the room from the child’s height instead of an adult’s. Spending the first twenty minutes on the guests arriving rather than on the balloon wall everyone photographs.
The setup still gets photographed properly, because somebody paid for it and will want it. It just stops being the whole album.

Children from other flats are usually a large part of these parties, which is worth thinking about beforehand.
Most parents are happy for their child to appear in another family's photographs, but not all are, and a shared building means everyone will eventually see the album.
If you know of anyone who would rather not be included, tell us and we will work around it quietly.
Getting ready
Send a phone photograph of the room. It is the single most useful thing you can give us for a clubhouse party.
Tell us the slot end time, because it decides when the group photographs have to happen.
Sort the decor timing with whoever is setting up, so the room is intact when we arrive.
Planning it
Which room and which corner the decorator will use.
Whether there is a hard finish time.
And whether photo, video or both, since they compete during the cake.

Tell us. Group photographs move earlier so they are not competing with the clock at the end.
