Explore Baby PhotographyMilestone sessions in Hadapsar — where the plan has to survive a year and several people's opinions.
A plan that has to hold
Which means it has to be a decision everybody involved actually agrees with, rather than one person's preference that the others tolerate.
Sets that drift are usually sets where the second sitting was arranged by somebody who had different ideas from whoever arranged the first.
A different spot, a different look, a different sense of what it is for, and the sequence stops reading as one thing.
The fix is to agree the approach at the first sitting with everybody who will be involved in the later ones.
That is a five-minute conversation and it is what makes the difference between a series and three separate photographs.
Where people genuinely disagree about the approach, pick one and keep it. Consistency matters more here than any particular choice.
A series is unusual in that the disagreement often only appears at the second sitting.
The first one is somebody's idea and nobody objects. By the second, other people have opinions about how it is going and whether it should continue.
Anticipating that at the first sitting — by agreeing the approach with everybody, not just whoever booked — is what keeps a set coherent.
It is also worth agreeing who is responsible for arranging the later ones.
Sets that fail usually fail because responsibility was assumed rather than assigned, and each person thought the other was doing it.
One name, agreed at the start, is the practical fix.
Getting ready
Agree the approach at the first sitting with everybody who will be involved later.
Note the spot, the hour and the distance so the next sitting repeats them.
Keep the clothing plain. It ages far more slowly than anything themed.
Planning it
Who will be arranging the later sittings, since they need to agree the plan too.
How many sittings you will realistically make.
And whether the set is meant to be seen together.

Two or three across the first year.
Hadapsar, Magarpatta City, Keshav Nagar, Mundhwa, Ghorpadi, Wadgaon Sheri and Kharadi.
It helps. The first is then set up as the start of a set.
No. Plain works better and ages better.
Yes, and many parents prefer it.
Then tell us both positions and we will shoot both. We will say honestly what each produces; we will not tell you which your family should prefer.
It helps for anything with several stakeholders. Failing that, send us what each person is hoping for and we will work from that.
One person, agreed beforehand. Requests from everybody are welcome at the start; instructions from four people mid-session mean less gets photographed.
Send us the date and what you have in mind, and you get a clear quote for the coverage you actually need.
