Baby Photography in Hadapsar, Pune

Baby sessions in Hadapsar — where the family usually has several different ideas about what should be photographed.

Several different ideas

Everybody who loves a baby has a view about how they should be photographed.

Parents, grandparents and aunts all have a favourite expression, a favourite outfit and a strong opinion about whether the hat is a good idea.

A session with all of that unspoken becomes a negotiation conducted around a baby, which is neither efficient nor pleasant.

The straightforward answer is to hear the requests first, then run the session in a sensible order and cover them as we go.

Most of them are compatible. Two or three frames each satisfies almost everybody and costs very little time.

Where they genuinely conflict — one person wants everything plain, another wants the outfit and the props — both versions can exist.

What does not work is discovering the disagreement halfway through while the baby is losing patience.

The most common unspoken disagreement here is about how much production is appropriate.

One person thinks a plain photograph of the baby is the whole point. Another thinks that is a wasted opportunity when somebody has been booked.

Both positions are entirely defensible and they produce different hours, which is why it is worth five minutes rather than an argument.

The other thing worth establishing is who is allowed to make requests during the session.

In a room with four adults and a baby, a photographer taking direction from all four gets very little done.

One voice, with everybody else's requests gathered beforehand, is what makes the hour work.

Getting ready

Collecting the requests first

Ask everybody involved what they are hoping for before the session rather than during it.

Bring anything specific somebody wants included, and tell us who wanted it.

Clear a patch of floor near the brightest window, and bring your baby at their good hour.

Planning it

What we ask

What each person present is hoping for.

Your baby's routine, so the session lands at their best hour.

And whether the parents want to be in any frames.

Everyone has a different idea.

Usually. Collect the requests before the session and most of them turn out compatible.

One relative wants the props, we do not.

Both versions can exist. It costs a few minutes rather than a different session.

Which areas do you cover?

Hadapsar, Magarpatta City, Keshav Nagar, Mundhwa, Ghorpadi, Wadgaon Sheri and Kharadi.

Home or studio?

Either. Tell us which appeals and we will explain the difference honestly.

Do you photograph twins?

Yes, and it needs more time rather than different technique.

Can a grandparent bring the baby?

Yes. Tell us who is coming.

What time of day is best?

Whenever your baby is reliably pleasant.

What if we cannot agree at all?

Then tell us both positions and we will shoot both. We will say honestly what each produces; we will not tell you which your family should prefer.

Should everybody be on the call when we book?

It helps for anything with several stakeholders. Failing that, send us what each person is hoping for and we will work from that.

Who should we nominate for the day?

One person, agreed beforehand. Requests from everybody are welcome at the start; instructions from four people mid-session mean less gets photographed.

How do we book?

Send us the date and what you have in mind, and you get a clear quote for the coverage you actually need.

Collect the requests beforehand

Most of them are compatible. Discovering them mid-session is what makes it difficult.
