Preparing for a set rather than a session
Decide at the first sitting whether there will be more. If there will, we note the background, the light and the distance and repeat them, which costs nothing now and is impossible to retrofit.
Bring a plain outfit and a spare. Busy patterns date quickly and photograph worse than people expect.
If you have images from a previous sitting elsewhere, send them. Matching or deliberately departing from them are both easy; doing neither by accident is not.

What time of day is best?
Whenever your baby is usually at their best, which for most is mid-morning after a feed. Tell us their routine and we will fit the session to it.
We want these printed as a set.
Then say so at the start. What prints well and what looks good on a screen are not identical, and it is easy to shoot for both if we know beforehand.
