Pre-Wedding Photography in Keshav Nagar, Pune

Pre-wedding shoots in Keshav Nagar, explained for couples who have never been photographed like this.

Neither of you has done this

Being photographed as a couple is unfamiliar and most people find the first twenty minutes awkward.

That is universal and worth saying, because couples assume the awkwardness means it is going badly.

It passes. The first stretch of every couple shoot is stiff, and then people forget the camera is there and the session begins properly.

You are directed continuously. Nobody is asked to invent a pose or produce an expression on demand.

What you genuinely need: two outfits each, comfortable shoes, and a couple of hours at the right end of the day.

What you can skip: four outfit changes, several locations, elaborate props, and any attempt to plan poses in advance. All four cost time and none improve the result.

It is also fine to say what you are not comfortable doing. Every couple has something and saying it early is easier than declining in the moment.

It is worth asking what happens if you do not like being photographed, because a good number of people do not.

The session is run differently: fewer instructions, more walking about, and far less standing still being looked at.

It produces a different set rather than a worse one, and it is a common enough request that nobody will think it unusual.

It is also worth knowing that you can see how it is going as it goes.

Asking to look at the back of the camera partway through is entirely normal and it usually settles most of the anxiety.

Couples who do it stop worrying, and the second half of the shoot is better for it.

Getting ready

What you actually need

Two outfits each, and shoes you can walk in.

A couple of hours at the right end of the day, which matters more than the location does.

Nothing else. This is simpler than it appears.

Planning it

What you can skip

Four outfit changes and several locations. Both cost time out of the good light and neither improves the set.

Planning poses. You are directed throughout and planned poses rarely survive contact with a real location.

Worrying about the first twenty minutes. Everyone is stiff at the start and it passes.

We will be terrible at this.

Everyone is, for about twenty minutes. Then people forget the camera is there and it starts properly.

How many outfits?

Two each is plenty. More costs time out of the light without improving the set.

Do we need to plan poses?

No. You are directed continuously and planned poses rarely survive a real location.

Do you travel outside Pune?

Yes, across Maharashtra with travel agreed upfront.

What is the minimum time?

A couple of hours at the right end of the day beats a whole day at the wrong one.

Can we say what we are not comfortable with?

Please do, and early. Every couple has something.

What if it rains?

Tell us and we will agree an alternative approach in advance.

Is there a question we should be asking that we have not?

Ask what happens if things do not go to plan, and what you can safely skip preparing. Those two get people further than anything else.

Can we visit the studio before booking?

Please do. Seeing the space beforehand settles most of the uncertainty, and it is welcome rather than an imposition.

What if we need less than we thought?

Then we will say so. Everything is quoted for the coverage you actually need rather than from a fixed list.

How do we book?

Send us the date and what you have in mind, and you get a clear quote for the coverage you actually need.

The first twenty minutes are awkward for everyone

Then it passes. Two outfits, comfortable shoes, and direction throughout.
