Why this one is worth doing properly
Kharadi runs on an industry where people are approached rather than applying, and the approach starts with a profile.
Recruiters, clients and prospective colleagues form an impression from one small square before they read a single line about you. A cropped wedding photograph or a badly lit selfie is not a neutral choice in that context — it is an active one, and rarely the one you would make deliberately.
The session itself is short. What takes the time is the few minutes at the start working out what the photograph needs to say — approachable, senior, technical, client-facing — because that decides everything about how it is lit and framed.
For teams it is worth doing together. Consistency across a leadership page or a pitch deck reads as deliberate; a page of photographs taken in six different places and six different years reads as exactly that.
In an industry where people are approached rather than applying, a profile photograph is doing recruitment work whether or not anyone intended it to. That is not an argument for vanity; it is an argument for the photograph being a deliberate choice rather than a cropped wedding picture.
It is also the reason these sessions are short. The photography takes very little time — what takes time is deciding what the image is for, and that decision does most of the work.
Team sets are worth doing together rather than accumulating over months. A page where everyone was photographed in one session reads as deliberate; one assembled over a year visibly does not.
If the photograph is replacing something old, bring the old one. Knowing what you disliked about it is more useful than any description of what you want.
And say if there is a deadline. Portraits are quick to shoot, but a reshoot against a date that has moved closer is the one genuinely expensive outcome.
Getting ready
Bring two or three options to wear. Clothing carries more of the register of a professional portrait than anything else available, and choices on hand cost nothing.
Decide what the photograph needs to say before arriving. Approachable, senior, technical, client-facing — these need different lighting and different framing.
If it is for a specific platform with rules about crop or background, bring the rules. Finding out afterwards means doing it again.
Planning it
What the portrait is for, because a profile, a company page, a speaking bio and a pitch deck all want something different.
Whether it is one person or a team, since consistency across a team page matters more than any individual frame within it.
And whether you would rather we came to the office. For a team set that is usually simpler than sending people out one at a time.

How the session itself works is covered in full on the main portrait & headshot photography page.
Less time than most people expect. The photography is quick; the useful part is deciding beforehand what the photograph is meant to convey.
Something you already wear to work and feel comfortable in. Solid colours sit better than busy patterns. Bring a second option if you are unsure.
Yes, at the studio or at your office. Same light, same background, same treatment across everyone is what makes a team page look considered.
Yes. For a team set that is usually the simpler option — we set up in a meeting room and work through people between their calls.
The Kharadi business parks first, then Viman Nagar, Nagar Road, Wadgaon Sheri, Keshav Nagar and Yerawada. If you are further out we can come to the office instead, which for a team set is usually the better arrangement anyway.
Please do. Two or three options gives the session somewhere to go.
Lightly by default. Tell us your preference — heavy retouching is the most common complaint about portraits taken elsewhere.
Usually yes, if we know at the start. It is a change of clothing and lighting rather than a second session.
Quickly for a portrait session. Tell us if there is a deadline and we will confirm whether it is achievable.
Yes, and it is worth saying so, because the crop and framing differ from a company page.
Yes, and it is the efficient way. Allow a little more time than individuals alone.
Tell us the date and we will say honestly what is open that week.
Yes. Tell us whether there is a window in the room, since that decides how much we bring.
Profile, company page, speaking bio, pitch deck. Tell us and we will shoot it for that rather than generically.
