The room decides a lot
Dim, warm, heavily downlit, and frequently with a colour cast strong enough to matter. It is consistent and it is entirely workable once expected.
The thing that makes it manageable is knowing which room before the day, because the setup differs and it takes two minutes rather than twenty.
The second thing worth establishing is whether the function room is genuinely private. A shared or semi-open space changes what wide frames can contain.
And the third is where couple portraits can happen, because a banquet room rarely offers anywhere suitable and there is usually somewhere nearby that does.
Half an hour before the function, in that spot, is where the frames people actually use come from.
Where the function is in a hotel or restaurant, it is worth asking whether the room can be entered before the decorators.
The empty room is worth two minutes of photography and it is the only chance to record what the space looked like before it became a function.
Almost nobody asks for it and almost everybody is pleased to have it afterwards.
It costs nothing if the access is already arranged for setup coverage.
Where the function room is shared or semi-open, it is worth identifying one clean background before guests arrive.
That single spot then carries every arranged photograph of the evening, which is far better than hunting for backgrounds while people wait.
It takes two minutes on arrival and it is the difference between arranged frames that look considered and ones that look improvised.
Getting ready
Tell us the venue and the specific room at booking. It is what lets us arrive set up rather than adapting.
Ask whether the space is fully private, since it changes what wide frames can include.
Protect half an hour before the function for couple portraits.
Planning it

Ask them what they need and we will provide it. Venues asking for something in advance is normal rather than a problem.
For most sessions, yes, and it removes the permission question entirely. The studio is in Wadgaon Sheri.
Send us the date and what you have in mind, and you get a clear quote for the coverage you actually need.
If it helps, yes. Usually it is quicker for you to ask since it is your booking, and we will send you exactly what to ask.
Tell us as soon as you know either way. A confirmed fallback means a late no changes the location rather than the date.
Yes, and for newborn, maternity, portrait and most product work it is usually the simpler option.
Yes. Tell us what you have in mind and we will show you work that matches it rather than a general portfolio.
Naming it lets us arrive set up for it rather than working it out on arrival.
