Leave, not weather
A pre-wedding shoot planned around ideal light assumes you can pick your day. Most couples here cannot.
The days are set by two employers, two sets of leave and a wedding date that is already fixed. Which means the plan has to be robust rather than optimal: an approach that works in flat light as well as good light, and a location that does not depend on one specific hour to be worth photographing.
It also means having a wet-weather version decided in advance. Not as a disappointment, but as a genuinely different set of photographs we are prepared to make — because the alternative on an immovable date is standing around waiting for a sky that is not coming.
Within that there is still plenty of room. Two well-chosen looks, a location that works across a few hours rather than one, and direction that does not depend on the weather cooperating.

It also means having a wet-weather version decided in advance — not as a disappointment, but as a genuinely different set of photographs we are prepared to make.
A fixed date also makes location choice more important than usual, because there is no coming back for a better light on another day.
A location that works across several hours is worth more than a spectacular one that works for twenty minutes.
That is a genuine trade and it is better made deliberately than discovered on the afternoon.
Getting ready
Agree a wet-weather approach before the morning. On a fixed date there is no rescheduling and improvising in the rain is worse than planning for it.
Choose two outfits rather than four. Changes cost time out of a short window.
Confirm both sets of leave before choosing the date rather than after.
Planning it
Which days you both actually have.
What happens if the weather turns, agreed as a genuine second approach rather than a disappointment.
And which location works across a few hours rather than depending on one specific one.

How the session itself works is covered in full on the main pre-wedding photography page.
No, but it changes the plan. We build something robust across conditions rather than something that depends on one perfect hour.
We agree a second approach in advance and shoot that instead. On an immovable date, having a plan for it beats hoping.
Fewer than you think. Each change costs time, and two well-chosen looks beat four rushed ones — more so when the day cannot be repeated.
Yes. We cover locations across Maharashtra and take on destination shoots, with travel agreed upfront before anything is booked.

Yes, and it gives two sets from one day.
Yes, throughout.
They often do, as long as the couple gets some space.
Send us the date and what you have in mind, and you get a clear quote for the coverage you actually need.
Confirmed in writing at booking rather than left open, which matters more when the date could not move.
Tell us at booking if it matters and we will prioritise a small set.

Yes, and on a fixed date we would encourage it. A short conversation beforehand is what makes an immovable booking work.
We will tell you immediately rather than holding a tentative slot, so you have time to find an alternative.
Regularly. Ask rather than assuming it is too late — we would rather tell you honestly what is open.
The plan yes, the date rarely. Tell us what has changed and we will adapt the coverage around it.
Send them and the wedding date. We will build a plan that survives whatever the weather does.
