Engagement Photography in Mundhwa, Pune

Engagement coverage in Mundhwa, with both families photographed together while both families are actually in the room.

Both sides, at once

An engagement is one of the few occasions both families are in the same place, and it is rarely used for that.

The photograph of the two families together is the one most people find missing afterwards, and it is missing because nobody arranged it.

It cannot arrange itself. Two groups who mostly do not know each other will not spontaneously stand together, and the couple are surrounded from the moment they arrive.

It takes one person from each side agreeing beforehand that it is happening, and about ten minutes at a point when everyone has arrived.

That point is earlier than most families expect — after arrivals and before the ritual, rather than after the meal when numbers start dropping.

Told in advance, it happens. Left to the day, it is attempted at the end and half the people needed have gone.

It is worth arranging the couple portraits before the function rather than after, for reasons that are entirely about availability.

Before, everybody is present, dressed and unhurried. After, guests are leaving, the couple are being spoken to by everyone in turn, and the light in most halls is worse than it was.

Half an hour early is the single highest-value arrangement available at an engagement.

It is also worth identifying anyone senior who may not stay long.

Elderly relatives frequently leave before the meal and are the people the family most wants photographed with the couple.

Told beforehand, that happens early. Left to the evening, it is attempted after they have gone.

It is worth deciding who is being photographed with the couple beyond the immediate families.

Those requests surface during the function otherwise, and each one takes time nobody allowed for.

We want both families in one photograph.

Then agree it beforehand with someone senior on each side. It does not happen spontaneously.

When should that happen?

After arrivals and before the ritual, while numbers are at their highest.

The hall lighting is not great.

It rarely is, and it is handled. Tell us the venue at booking.

Which areas do you cover?

Mundhwa, Keshav Nagar, Kharadi, Koregaon Park, Ghorpadi, Wadgaon Sheri and Viman Nagar.

Can we add couple portraits?

Yes, and before the function rather than after.

Can you photograph at home?

Yes, and home functions photograph well.

How long do you stay?

As long as you book.

Can we hold a date while we check with everyone?

Ask and we will tell you honestly what is open. A held date can be released; a date you did not hold is usually gone.

What if we have to reschedule?

Tell us as early as you can. Moving something is straightforward; quietly letting it lapse is how these end up not happening.

Would a weekday work better?

Frequently, and almost nobody asks. Weekday mornings suit small children better and everywhere is quieter.

How do we book?

Send us the date and what you have in mind, and you get a clear quote for the coverage you actually need.

Do you travel outside Pune?

Yes, across Maharashtra and for destination weddings, with travel agreed upfront before anything is booked.

Has anyone agreed the two-family photograph?

One person on each side, agreed beforehand. That is all it takes and it never happens otherwise.
