How long will these last
Usually because it contains something with a short life: a logo that changed, an interior that was refitted, a colour treatment that reads as a particular year.
Some of that is unavoidable. Premises change and people leave, and photographs containing them have a natural life.
Some of it is entirely avoidable and it is worth deciding deliberately. A frame that avoids current branding, current signage and heavy treatment will outlast one that does not.
That argues for a mixed set: some images tied to how the business looks now, and a core that is deliberately more neutral and will keep working.
The neutral ones tend to be the ones about people, materials and work being done, which are the most persuasive images anyway.
It is worth agreeing that split at the outset, because otherwise every image ends up tied to this year.
It is worth being specific about which images are meant to be durable and which are deliberately of the moment.
A campaign image is supposed to look current and it should. A core set of images about the business is not, and it should not.
Treating both the same way is how businesses end up replacing everything at once every few years.
It is also worth photographing people in a way that does not tie them to a role.
Somebody photographed at work, doing the work, remains usable if they change job title. Somebody photographed beside a sign does not.
That is a small compositional choice with a long tail.
Getting ready
Keep current branding and signage out of most frames, so the core set outlasts the next refresh.
Weight the set towards people, materials and work being done. Those are both the most persuasive and the most durable.
Have products, tools or people ready rather than assembled during the shoot.

How the session itself works is covered in full on the main commercial photography page.
Usually branding, an old interior, or a colour treatment that reads as a particular year. Some of that is avoidable at the shoot.
Images about people, materials and work being done, without current branding in frame. Also the most persuasive kind.
Sangamwadi, Yerawada, Koregaon Park, Kalyani Nagar, Wadgaon Sheri, Viman Nagar and Ghorpadi.
Either. The studio is often simpler for product and portrait work.
Yes, and small teams are usually quicker.
Tell us the intended use at the outset.
Lightly by default. Tell us your preference.
Yes, honestly, and then shoot whatever you have decided you want. That is more useful than agreeing with everything.
Not always, and it would be a poor rule. It is worth having some plain frames in every set so there is something that works whenever anybody looks at it.
Send us the date and what you have in mind, and you get a clear quote for the coverage you actually need.
Keep branding out of most frames and the core set outlasts the next refresh.
