A good number of the sessions we photograph here are somebody’s second — a second baby, a second wedding in the family, an event that happens every year. What is different the second time is worth planning for, and it is mostly what this page is about.
The thing nobody plans for
The second one always gets photographed less than the first.
It is the most common regret we hear, and nobody ever decides it. It simply happens, because the second time round there is already a child in the house and the weeks that were free the first time are not free any more.
The same pattern turns up everywhere else, not only with children. The second wedding in a family is planned by people who now know exactly which part overran. The society event that runs every year has an album from last year that everybody quietly agrees was missing something. The flat that did not sell is relisted with the same photographs that did not sell it.
In every one of those cases there is information available that did not exist the first time, and it is nearly always wasted. Not because anyone is careless, but because nobody is asked for it.
So we ask. One sentence about what you would change is worth more than a long brief, and it takes ten seconds to give. If you have images you were unhappy with, showing them is quicker still — what is wrong with a set is a far more precise instruction than a description of what you want.
And if this is your first time, none of that counts against you. It just means we explain as we go instead of assuming you already know how a session runs.

Tingre Nagar and the areas around it
We photograph across Tingre Nagar — at home, at function halls and society spaces, and at the studio in Wadgaon Sheri when a session wants controlled light.
The neighbouring areas are the same short journey: Dhanori, Vishrantwadi, Kalas, Lohegaon, Viman Nagar and Yerawada. We take bookings across the rest of Pune, and travel beyond it for weddings.
Families who booked us once tend to come back for the next thing, which is the part of this work we like most — and it is why we would rather know what you would change than be told everything was fine. There is no fixed package: tell us what you need and you get a clear quote for that coverage.

We had photographs done for our first child and never got round to it for the second.
This is the single most common thing families tell us, usually a year or two after the fact. It is worth fixing from wherever you are rather than treating the gap as final — photograph the stage they are at now, and the record starts.
Does having done it before change anything practically?
Yes, and mostly in your favour. You know your own child’s good hour, you know how long you are willing to sit, and you usually know the one thing you would change. That last sentence is worth more to us than any amount of general briefing.
What if this is our first time?
Then nothing here works against you. Everything on these pages reads as easily for a first booking; the difference is simply that we will explain more as we go rather than assuming you already know how a session runs.
Our event happens every year and the photographs are never quite right.
Then you have the best brief available, which is last year’s set. Look at it and name what was missing — usually the organisers, the group photograph, or one image that represents the whole evening. Those are briefing problems, not photography ones.
Should we show you photographs we were not happy with?
Please do. What is wrong with an existing set is a far more precise brief than a description of what you want, and it is much quicker to give.
