Why arrival time is the job
Unlike a studio session, none of this is on our ground. The room, the timing and the running order are all yours.
Which turns the photographer's journey into part of your morning. The decorated room, the food laid out, the saree chosen months ago and worn properly for the first time — all of it is photographable for a short stretch before the first guests arrive and the room becomes a room full of people.
Getting there for that stretch is a scheduling question, not a photographic one, and it is decided by how far we have to come. From Wadgaon Sheri to most addresses around Viman Nagar, arriving early enough is straightforward rather than optimistic.
The other half is the elders. Dohale Jevan is built around older women in the family blessing the mother-to-be, and those moments are quiet, quick and easily missed by someone still finding their way around an unfamiliar flat.

How the session itself works is covered in full on the main baby shower & dohale jevan photography page.
Early enough to photograph the room and the preparation before the guests do, which we agree with you in advance based on when things actually start rather than when the invitation says.
Yes. The ritual has a shape — the blessing, the offerings, the mother seated with the family around her — and knowing what comes next is what lets us be in the right place rather than reacting to it.
Not at all. Homes are often better, because the light is softer and everyone is more relaxed. Tell us which rooms you will be using and we will work with what is there.
Yes, if you want that. Tell us what matters to you — some families want the ritual and nothing else, others want the whole morning documented including the meal.
Tell us where it is and roughly when things begin, and we will come back with availability and a suggested arrival time.
