Engagements are the shortest function in the wedding sequence and the one most often under-covered because of it.
They are frequently held on a weekday evening, in a hall or a hotel room, for a couple of hours between people finishing work and dinner being served. There is no slow build and no second chance at the exchange itself.
Turning up with time to spare is therefore the entire game — knowing where the families will stand, where the light is bad, and where you need to be when the rings come out. That is a matter of arriving early, which is a matter of not being stuck on the other side of Pune at 6pm.
The upside of the short format is that it is easy to book and easy to combine. Plenty of couples add a set of portraits before or after the function, which costs half an hour and gives you the photographs the function itself is too busy to produce.

Our engagement is on a weekday evening. Do you cover those?
Yes, and most are. Tell us the start time and the venue and we will plan to be there well before anything begins.
Can we add couple portraits around the function?
Yes, and we would suggest it. Half an hour before or after gives you the considered photographs that a busy two-hour function cannot.
The hall lighting is poor. Does that matter?
It is normal and it is handled. Halls are lit for guests, not for photography, and working with what is there rather than blasting the room is the difference between photographs that look like the evening and photographs that look lit.
Do you photograph both families?
Yes. Group photographs of both sides are usually the thing everyone asks for afterwards and the thing nobody plans time for, so we build them into the running order rather than squeezing them in at the end.
Which areas and venues do you cover for engagements?
Halls, hotels and homes across Viman Nagar, Nagar Road, Kharadi, Kalyani Nagar, Yerawada and Koregaon Park are the closest, and we cover functions anywhere in Pune. Send the venue with the date so we can plan the arrival.
