Why the start time is the problem
Naming ceremonies are set by an auspicious time, and auspicious times have an unhelpful habit of being early.
Which means the photographer has to be set up and out of the way before a family that has been up since four is ready to begin. Arriving at the muhurat is arriving late — the preparation, the cradle being decorated, the baby being dressed, all of it happens before.
From the same side of the city an early call is simply an early start. From across Pune it is a pre-dawn one, and that is the difference between someone arriving composed and someone arriving with the family already halfway through.
The ceremony itself is short and quiet. A name whispered in the baby's ear, the cradle rocked, elders leaning in — moments measured in seconds, in a room full of relatives, with no possibility of a second take.

No. Early muhurats are the norm for this ceremony and we plan for them. Tell us the time and we will agree an arrival that gets us there before the preparation, not just before the ritual.
Yes, and that is the usual setting. Small rooms full of family are what this ceremony looks like, and photographing it means moving quietly rather than rearranging anyone.
We keep it minimal and work with the room where we can. A ceremony is not a photoshoot and nobody wants a newborn startled for the sake of a frame.
If you want that, yes. Tell us how much of the morning you want documented and we will plan the coverage around it.

Send us the time and the address. Early ceremonies need the arrival planned more carefully than anything else.
