Where it ends up
Not because anyone stops caring. Because a gallery of sixty images has no obvious place to live, and a decision that has no deadline never gets made.
The families who avoid this are the ones who decided beforehand that one photograph from the session was going on a wall.
That single decision changes the session. A frame meant to be printed large needs to be shot for it — upright rather than wide, with room around the subject rather than cropped tight, and steady enough to hold up at size.
Those are decisions made while shooting, not afterwards. You cannot add space around a frame later, and enlarging a tightly cropped image is exactly where it falls apart.
So it is worth saying at booking if there is a wall in mind. Everything else in the session runs the same way; one or two frames simply get shot with that in mind.
It is worth thinking about the shape of the space specifically, because newborn frames are almost always upright and most walls people have in mind are not.
A wide space wants a wide photograph, and that is a different arrangement of baby, blanket and hands rather than the same frame turned sideways.
Ten seconds of conversation covers it, and it is the difference between a frame that fits the wall and one that has to be trimmed into it.
The rest of the gallery stays exactly as it would have been. Nothing is lost by deciding this early; a good deal is lost by deciding it late.
One more practical point: a frame intended for a wall should have the baby doing something ordinary rather than something arranged.
Elaborate setups date quickly and they date visibly. A photograph of a sleeping newborn in soft light does not.
That is worth saying because parents often assume the wall frame should be the most produced one in the set, and it is usually the simplest.
Getting ready
Decide whether one photograph from this is going somewhere physical. If it is, tell us — it changes how those frames are composed.
Think about the shape of the space. Upright and wide are genuinely different photographs and they are decided while shooting.
Everything else is the usual: a clear patch of floor near the brightest window, and your baby at their good hour.
Planning it
Whether any of this is going on a wall, and roughly what shape.
Whether the set is for you or largely for sharing, since those want different things.
And whether parents or siblings are in any frames.

How the session itself works is covered in full on the main newborn photography page.
More than most people expect. A frame meant to be printed large is composed differently from one meant for a screen, and that happens while shooting.
Then say so and we will shoot for both. It costs a couple of frames rather than a different session.

Either. The studio gives controlled light and warmth; home means nothing to pack.
Yes. Tell us numbers so the room is set up for it.
More than the photography needs. Feeding and settling take up most of it.

Yes, and it is much cheaper than a second session. Tell us the list of uses and the framing covers all of them while everything is set up.

You can decide the use later. What cannot be decided later is whether the frame has room in it, which is why it is worth mentioning at booking.
Yes, across Maharashtra and for destination weddings, with travel agreed upfront before anything is booked.
Yes, and it is the part we can speak to honestly — what a frame will and will not stand up to. Tell us what you have in mind.
The use can change freely. What cannot change afterwards is whether the frame has room in it, which is the only reason we ask early.
Yes. Tell us what you have in mind and we will show you work that matches it rather than a general portfolio.
Send us the date and what you have in mind, and you get a clear quote for the coverage you actually need.
If so, tell us the shape of the space. It changes how those frames get shot.
