Coverage, not every frame

Function coverage produces the largest number of frames of anything we shoot and the largest proportion of unusable ones.

People blink, turn away, are half-obscured by somebody walking past, or are caught mid-sentence in a way nobody would want circulated.

A function gallery is therefore edited quite heavily, and that is in everybody's interest including the guests.

What you receive covers the day properly — arrivals, the room, the ritual in sequence, the groups, the meal — without the frames nobody would choose.

Where somebody specific must be well represented, say so beforehand rather than hoping, because it is far easier to photograph them properly than to find a good frame afterwards.

If you look through and somebody is missing, tell us and we will look again.

The timeline depends on the size of the function and is confirmed with you in writing when you book.

It is worth deciding in advance who will actually distribute the set, because that shapes what is useful.

A gallery going to one person who will forward highlights needs different things from one going to forty people directly.

The first wants a clear standout selection; the second wants breadth so everybody finds themselves.

Both are straightforward when known and neither is achievable retrospectively without asking for more work.

It is also worth saying whether anybody expects to receive their own photographs specifically.

Relatives frequently do, and it is much easier flagged beforehand than requested afterwards.
