Combinations, not just the group

A family set is judged on whether the combinations people wanted are in it.

Not on how many photographs there are. Fifteen frames containing every arrangement somebody asked for beats sixty that do not.

This is why we ask for the list beforehand rather than working through arrangements as they occur to people on the day.

A list means the set can be checked against it before delivery, which is a straightforward thing to do and almost nobody does.

When it arrives, check it against the same list. If something is missing, tell us — occasionally a combination was photographed and did not make the selection.

Where it genuinely was not taken, that is worth knowing too, because a short additional session is easier to arrange than assembling everybody again.

The timeline depends on the size of the session and is confirmed with you in writing when you book.

It is worth being explicit about how many arrangements you actually want, because there is a practical limit.

Somewhere around a dozen combinations gets done properly in a session. A list of thirty produces thirty rushed ones or twelve good ones and eighteen absences.

Prioritising the list is more useful than lengthening it, and it is the part families find hardest.

The straightforward method is to mark which five you would be genuinely upset not to have.

Those happen first, while everybody is fresh and tidy, and the rest follow if time allows.

That way a session that runs short still delivers the things that mattered.

Getting ready

Working from a list

Send the combinations you want beforehand. The set can then be checked against the list before delivery.

Check the delivered set against the same list, and tell us if anything is missing.

Agree clothes loosely as a group. A shared palette, nothing bought specially.

Planning it

What we agree at booking

Which combinations matter beyond the whole group.

How many people, since that decides indoors or out.

And the delivery timeline.

A combination we wanted is not there.

Tell us. Occasionally it was photographed and did not make the selection, and we will look again.

How do we make sure that does not happen?

Send the list beforehand. The set is then checked against it before delivery, which almost nobody asks for.

When will we receive them?

It depends on the size of the session and it is confirmed with you in writing when you book.

Which areas do you cover?

Wagholi, Kharadi, Lohegaon, Keshav Nagar, Mundhwa, Viman Nagar and Wadgaon Sheri.

How many people can be photographed?

Tell us the number and we will suggest indoors or out.

Some relatives cannot stand long.

Say so at booking. Seated arrangements happen first.

Can we include pets?

Yes, and tell us in advance.

Can we ask for more of something after delivery?

Yes, and it is a normal request rather than a complaint. Ask soon after the session, when it is easiest to act on.

Do you quote a number of photographs?

No. A number tells you very little, since twenty near-identical frames is not more than five distinct ones. Ask what the set will cover instead.

How do we book?

Send us the date and what you have in mind, and you get a clear quote for the coverage you actually need.

Send the list, then check against it

A family set is judged on whether the combinations are in it, not on how many frames there are.
