Photographer in Yerawada, Pune
Most of what we photograph in Yerawada happens in a room with the whole family already in it. That is a different job from photographing three people in a quiet flat, and it is worth planning for rather than being surprised by.
What a full house changes
Here, the hard part is not getting everyone together. It is that they are already here.
In a settled neighbourhood the extended family is close by, so the room is full, the elders know the ritual, and there is never a shortage of hands.
That helps more than it hinders. Somebody is always free to settle a baby or hold a drape, ceremonies run briskly because everyone knows the order, and the group photograph everyone actually wants is possible on almost any occasion.
It also means the frames that matter most are the ones easiest to miss. The great-grandmother who is photographed once and then sits down. The aunts running the function who never appear in a single picture. The four-generation shot that only exists if somebody calls for it while the room is still full.
So we plan around the people rather than the schedule — group frames early, quiet frames after, and the elders photographed before anyone drifts. That ordering is most of the difference between a good set and a set with obvious gaps in it.
What we photograph
Grouped by who is in the photograph
Every service below has a Yerawada page of its own, written for what that session is actually like when the family is in the room.
One person
Sittings for a single subject — including the portraits of older relatives that families keep meaning to arrange.
The two of you
Couples, whether that is thirty years in or a wedding still being planned.
The whole household
Where the room is full and the group photograph is the one that gets printed.
Ceremonies and functions
The occasions the family has run before and will run again.
For a business
For the shops, premises and property of an established neighbourhood.

Yerawada and the areas beside it
We photograph across Yerawada — at home for ceremonies and family sessions, at halls for the larger functions, and at the studio for sittings that want controlled light.
The immediate neighbours are the same short journey: Kalyani Nagar, Koregaon Park, Wadgaon Sheri where the studio is, Viman Nagar, Vishrantwadi, Tingre Nagar and Dhanori. We take bookings across the rest of Pune as well.
Sessions run at the studio or at your home, whichever suits the occasion and the people in it. There is no fixed package — tell us what you need and you get a clear quote for that coverage.
Before you book
The questions a full house raises
Numbers, elderly relatives and how the ceremonies run. Anything about a particular kind of session is answered on that service’s own page.

Can the whole family be in the photographs?
Yes, and it is worth planning rather than leaving to the end. Tell us roughly how many people and how old the oldest are, and we will take the group frames early while everyone is present and fresh.
Our house is small and there will be a lot of people in it.
That is the normal setting for most of what we photograph here, and it works. We need one room with reasonable daylight for part of the session, not the run of the house, and we move around people rather than asking them to move.
Some of the elders cannot stand for long or travel easily.
Say so when you book rather than on the day. We photograph seated arrangements first, and for families with older relatives a session at home is usually the better answer than asking everyone to come to the studio.
Do you know how the ceremonies actually run?
Yes — naming ceremonies, Dohale Jevan, haldi and mehendi, house pujas. Knowing the order is what lets us be in position a beat early, which matters more in a household that runs these briskly and does not pause to explain them.
Which parts of Yerawada and nearby do you cover?
All of Yerawada, plus Kalyani Nagar, Koregaon Park, Wadgaon Sheri, Viman Nagar, Vishrantwadi, Tingre Nagar and Dhanori. We photograph across the rest of Pune too, and travel further for weddings.
How many people are we expecting?
Tell us that and the date. Numbers change the running order more than anything else, and the group photograph is usually the one that gets printed.
